Tim Wat, keyboards, composer -

The founder and primary composer of the band, Wat is a veteran of the Bay Area music scene, having played in rock, pop, progressive, and worship bands for over 30 years. He grew up with piano lessons from age nine and discovered jazz in college. Now with a wide range of tastes from Miles Davis to Zeppelin to Bach, he founded Human Nature with Rory Lane as a vehicle for his composing and his “guerilla jazz”

Rory Lane, bass -

The bass player and co-founder of Human Nature, Lane is also a Bay Area music scene veteran with diverse experience in R&B, funk, rock and jazz. He and Wat meth through other musicians, were invited to join a funk project together, and eventually realized they shared a bigger vision for a new and different kind of jazz project.

Kelly McIntyre, vocals -

The band’s vocalist grew up in rural Minnesota, where she started singing at the age of 5 for her mom and farm animals. After moving to the Bay Area, Mcintryre fronted several rock, soul and funk bands before joining up with Human Nature.
